Never drummed or don’t have access to a drum of any description? THAT’S OK! No experience necessary, you can even bring along two nifty sticks to knock together, plastic paint drums etc. We will do our best to have a few spare drums.
A family-friendly facilitated Community Drumming is the middle ground between specific cultural drumming and freestyle. The community drum circle is guided by a rhythm event facilitator who is supporting the group's intention to play together, connect rhythmically, making space for other people’s rhythm exploration, while contributing their own rhythmical spirit into the in-the-moment rhythmical alchemy. This is a collaboration with drumming maestro Gábháin Mac Aodha of Drum & Heal who truly is a drummer extraordinaire!

Tranquility Women’s Circle
Women have been gathering in sacred circles together throughout time. In many cultures, women would and still do, traditionally gather in circles to tell stories, to share the ups and downs of their lives, and to be together during their moon cycles. Great wisdom is revealed during women’s circles, and something immensely powerful happens when women gather together in order to create a sacred space.
Tranquillity women's circle was created as a mutually supportive environment in which women of all ages and backgrounds can come together to be heard, to be held, without judgement. To talk about life from deeply spiritual issues to the everyday highs and lows and simply enjoy the company of likeminded women.
What to expect: Led by Mel Maelo every full moon, a sacred space is created around a central 'altar' to which everyone and anyone can contribute for the meeting. Items such as your favourite crystal/stone, flowers, a cutting from a plant or tree that you ally yourself with - something meaningful to yourself. It is a time of rest and the sharing of wisdom and may include calming rituals, meditation, the sharing of experiences - it is not set in stone. It is also a time to share/partake of food and drink together, a part of the circle to which every woman is encouraged to contribute.
